Avon Empowerment Bracelet Helps United Nations Women’s Fund
Reese Witherspoon, honorary chair of the Avon Foundation, has unveiled the Women’s Empowerment Bracelet. 100% of the net proceeds will go toward the new Avon Empowerment Fund, which aims to fight violence against women. The Foundation will match the first $500,000 from sales, making a total donation of $1 million to the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), which supports projects that help women worldwide.
The bracelet is a blue stretch cord with a silvertone infinity symbol. ”It’s a symbol of unity that represents a future without limitations for all women,” says Witherspoon on Avon’s site. “It represents everything I love about this company.”
