Nicholas Sparks Visits Barnes & Noble: October 6

Nicholas Sparks will visit the Fifth Avenue Barnes & Noble on Sunday, October 6 at 12:30 p.m. to discuss his latest book, The Lucky One. The novel centers on a man who acquires a photo of a woman he’s never met and feels compelled to track her down.

Multimedia Volume Provides Glimpse into Prince’s Life

Music legend Prince will publish his first book, 21 Nights (Simon & Schuster), on Tuesday, September 30. The volume is inspired by his 21 record-breaking, sold-out concerts in London in 2007 and includes photographs, poetry, and a CD of his after-show sessions called Indigo Nights/Live Sessions. An excerpt is available on Simon & Schuster’s site.

Q&A with Project Runway’s Leanne Marshall

Leanne MarshallWith just four episodes left in the fifth season of Project Runway, Leanne Marshall has emerged as a serious competitor with strong, sculptural designs that have helped her secure two challenge wins. Her first win involved making an outfit entirely out of the spare parts from a hybrid car; the second involved creating a look inspired by the movie classic A Foreign Affair for Diane von Furstenberg’s Fall 2008 collection—a look that will be manufactured and sold exclusively to American Express cardholders.

Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style Debuts Season Two; Bonus Video Content

The second season of Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style premieres on Thursday, October 2 at 11:00 p.m. EST on Bravo (the series will then move to its regular time slot on Thursday, October 16 at 10:00 p.m. EST). Gunn will be joined by Gretta Monahan, personal stylist and owner of Gretta Luxe Boutiques and Grettacole Spas and Salons. In each episode, the pair will show women what to highlight, take them shopping to revamp their wardrobes, and give them confidence.

David and Victoria Beckham Unveil Fragrance Set at Macy’s: September 26

David and Victoria Beckham will promote their new men’s and women’s fragrance set, Beckham Signature, at the Herald Square Macy’s on Friday, September 26 at 5:00 p.m. Starting on Monday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m., the first 300 fans who purchase the set ($122) will receive a pass to meet the Beckhams and have their fragrance bottle autographed.

Participants visit the PayPal/IMPACT page, choose a cause from the list, and add the resulting widget to your MySpace profile.
