Barnes & Noble Launches Online Network
Barnes & Noble has expanded its Web site with My B&N, a new online network where book lovers can broadcast their recommendations and connect with other readers.
After registering with the network and creating a profile page with a “pen name” and an avatar, you will receive the following features:
- Automatic updates of the latest events at your local Barnes & Noble store.
- The ability to create lists that can be placed onto social networking sites.
- A graphic display for what you’re currently reading, listening to, and watching.
- The ability to review and rate books for other users.
- Access to free book discussion forums including Center Stage, an arena where you can submit questions to a different visiting author every week.
