Benefit Hunger Relief by Bidding on Celebrity Lunchboxes

The Lunchbox Auction allows people to assist hunger relief by bidding on custom lunchboxes designed by celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mario Batali, the cast of Gossip Girl, Salman Rushdie, Michael Stipe, Liv Tyler, and Diane Von Furstenberg. Each lunchbox is unique and also numbered and signed.

Cadillac Records: Trailer and Behind-the-Scenes Video

Cadillac Records tells the real-life story of Chess Records, the label founded by Leonard Chess (Adrien Brody) that was home to Etta James (Beyoncé Knowles), Chuck Berry (MosDef), Willie Dixon (Cedric the Entertainer), Little Walter (Columbus Short), and Muddy Waters (Jeffrey Wright). Opening Friday, December 5.

Museum of the Moving Image Presents Darren Aronofsky and Mickey Rourke: December 4

The Museum of the Moving Image will host director Darren Aronofsky and actor Mickey Rourke on Thursday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. They will discuss their upcoming film The Wrestler after a screening of the movie. Rourke plays Randy “Ram” Robinson, an emotionally lost pro wrestler suffering heart problems. Also starring Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood.

Due to the Museum’s ongoing renovation in Queens, the event will be held in Manhattan at the Sunshine Landmark Theater, 143 East Houston Street. Visit the Museum’s event page for details and to buy tickets. Open to Museum members only.

Museum of the Moving Image Presents Penelope Cruz: December 1

The Museum of the Moving Image will host actress Penelope Cruz on Monday, December 1 at 8:30 p.m. She will discuss her film from this summer, the Woody Allen-directed Vicky Cristina Barcelona, after a screening of the movie. The film centers on two American women (Rebecca Hall, Scarlett Johansson) travel to Barcelona and become romantically entangled with a painter (Javier Bardem) and his ex-wife (Cruz).

Twilight, based on Stephenie Meyer‘s bestselling young adult book series, centers on the romance between teenager Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). His choice to not to drink blood is tested the closer the two get. In the meantime, they head for a showdown with a new clan of vampires. Opening Friday, November 21.
