Designers Against AIDS, an organization dedicated to increasing AIDS awareness in the international media and amongst youth, is getting a boost from perfume set Six Scents. The limited edition set is curated by Seven New York’s Joseph Quartana and features scents by designers Alexandre Herchcovitch, Bernhard Willhelm, Cosmic Wonder Light Source, Gareth Pugh, Jeremy Scott, and Preen; a portion of the proceeds go to DAA.

Comedian and actor Denis Leary will visit the Penn Plaza Borders on Tuesday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss his book, Why We Suck: A Feel Good Guide to Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy and Stupid, in which he takes potshots at everything from celebrity to religion to politics.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison will visit the Union Square Barnes & Noble on Monday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss her latest novel, A Mercy (Knopf). Set in the 1680s during the early days of American slavery, the book centers on Jacob, an Anglo-Dutch trader and reluctant slave owner; and Florens, his young slave.

Designer May Yeung is offering a special sterling silver charm bracelet that will benefit Make the Commitment, an organization that encourages women to make the commitment to discuss with their doctors ways to prevent cervical cancer. The bracelet is made of amethysts, freshwater pearls, and Swarovski crytals; $100 from each sale will go to Make the Commitment.

The latest James Bond installment, Quantum of Solace, picks up where the previous one left off. In an effort to find out more about the organization that blackmailed Vesper, his love from the previous film, Bond (Daniel Craig) travels across Europe and South America. Judi Dench returns as M; the film also stars Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, Jesper Christensen, and Joaquín Cosio. Opening Friday, November 14.
