International Adoption Resources (IAR), which offers information about international adoption and provides financial grants to adopting parents, is selling Asian-themed purses in two designs. A portion of the sales will benefit IAR’s causes.

John Grisham at Barnes & Noble: January 27

John Grisham will visit the Union Square Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss his latest legal thriller, The Associate (Doubleday). The book focuses on Kyle McAvoy, a recent law school graduate with a secret. In order to keep his past under wraps, he is forced to join the biggest law firm in the world and engage in all of its dangerous, illegal activities.

Chopped to Debut on Food Network

The Food Network’s new cooking competition, Chopped, premieres on Tuesday, January 13 at 10:00 p.m. The series is hosted by Ted Allen, host of Food Detectives and previously a judge on Top Chef.

Gucci Helps UNICEF

Until January 31, Gucci will donate 25% of the sales of its Tattoo Heart Collection to UNICEF programs that help African children affected by HIV/AIDS. The collection features shoes, bags, and jewelry.

24 Season Seven: Day 7

24‘s seventh season premieres on Sunday, January 11 at 8:00 p.m. on FOX. The day opens with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) on trial and CTU in the dust. Former CTU co-workers Tony Ameida (Carlos Bernard),  Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), and Bill Buchanan (James Morrison) return. New characters include the new Commander-in-Chief, President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones), and FBI agent Janis Gold (Janeane Garofalo).

FOX’s 24 site includes videos and a dossier of Bauer’s past actions.
