Body Shop Lip Balm Fights HIV

The Body Shop, in partnership with MTV, has created a new fruity lip butter to benefit the Staying Alive Foundation, which raises awareness of HIV/AIDS. Approximately $5 from each sale goes to the Foundation. The balm, Yes! Yes! Yes!, is named after the Body Shop’s Say Yes Yes Yes to Safe Sex campaign.

Exclusive Sticker Giveaway: Secret Asian Man

CurrentVine.com has partnered with its previous interviewee, Secret Asian Man cartoonist Tak Toyoshima, to give away one SAM sticker each to four fans in a random drawing. The stickers are weatherproof, die-cut vinyl and approximately 8″ x 8″; one of each color is available (black, white, red, and gold). One will be given away each week in May.

The giveaway coincides with the recent release of the comic anthology Toyoshima is contributing to—Secret Identities: The Asian American Superhero Anthology (The New Press), which is the first comic short story collection to center on Asian American superheroes; and with Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, which is May of each year.

Alexander McCall Smith will visit the Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. to dicuss Tea Time for the Traditionally Built, the 10th book in Alexander McCall Smith’s No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency mystery series. In this installment, private investigator Precious Ramotswe is asked to find a possible traitor who’s throwing the local football team’s games, all the while dealing with personal drama.
