Secret Identities: The Asian American Superhero Anthology (The New Press) is the first comic short story collection to center on Asian American superheroes. Edited by Jeff Yang, Parry Shen, Keith Chow, and Jerry Ma, the collection includes such contributors as Gene Yang (American Born Chinese), Bernard Chang (Wonder Woman), Greg Pak (The Hulk), Christine Norrie (Black Canary Wedding Special), and Tak Toyoshima (Secret Asian Man). Secret Identities hits shelves on Wednesday, April 15.

The Tribeca Film Festival returns from Wednesday, April 22 to Sunday, May 3. As in previous years, the festival allows industry professionals and the general public to attend what are often the world premieres of domestic and foreign films; sit in on Q&A panels with directors, actors, and crew members; and partake of additional events such as the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival and the Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair.

Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin will visit the Columbus Circle Borders on Monday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. to introduce her autobiography I’ll Scream Later, in which she discusses her career, her hearing loss, and her relationships.

A portion of the proceeds from Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths shampoo and conditioner line goes to its Beautiful Lengths campaign, which helps provide free real-hair wigs for women who have lost their hair to cancer.
