Models of the Runway, Lifetime’s new companion series to Project Runway, will premiere on Thursday, August 20, at 11:00 p.m. EST. For the first time, the 16 models from Project Runway will be spotlighted as they strive to make the cut from week to week. Ridley Pearson brings back Sun Valley, Idaho Sheriff Walt Fleming for a third time in his thriller Killer Summer (Putnam, 2009). In this outing, Walt is tasked with protection duties for the area’s high-class annual wine auction, which features wines such as a set of bottles that were purportedly a gift to John Adams from Thomas Jefferson. Before long, Walt finds himself trying to dismantle a painstakingly orchestrated heist.

The novel has been praised by outlets including Publishers Weekly and Kirkus Reviews for its clever plotting, non-stop action, and the way that Pearson infuses Summer‘s Idahoan environment with vivid detail.

The sixth season of Project Runway premieres on Lifetime on Thursday, August 20 at 10:00 p.m. For the first time, the series moves from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.

Returning to the show are host/judge Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn, and judges Nina Garcia and Michael Kors. As before, 16 designers will compete for the chance to show at New York Fashion Week.
