Killer Summer Marks Third Walt Fleming Outing

Ridley Pearson brings back Sun Valley, Idaho Sheriff Walt Fleming for a third time in his thriller Killer Summer (Putnam, 2009). In this outing, Walt is tasked with protection duties for the area’s high-class annual wine auction, which features wines such as a set of bottles that were purportedly a gift to John Adams from Thomas Jefferson. Before long, Walt finds himself trying to dismantle a painstakingly orchestrated heist.

The novel has been praised by outlets including Publishers Weekly and Kirkus Reviews for its clever plotting, non-stop action, and the way that Pearson infuses Summer’s Idahoan environment with vivid detail.

Visit www.ridleypearson.com/killersummer.php for more information on the book; watch the clip below of Pearson discussing it.
