Singer/actress Vanessa Williams will visit the Columbus Circle Borders on Tuesday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m. to promote and autograph her upcoming album, The Real Thing, which contains original jazz- and Brazilian-influenced songs. Elmore Leonard resurrects Jack Foley (Out of Sight), Cundo Rey (LaBrava), and Dawn Navarro (Riding the Rap) in his new novel Road Dogs (HarperCollins, 2009). In this outing Cundo arranges for the early release of his fellow inmate Jack while Dawn, Cundo’s common-law wife, waits for him to return—and they can’t be sure they can trust each other.

Actor and author Eric Bogosian will visit the Union Square Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss his latest novel, Perforated Heart, in which a writer reflects on his life after stumbling upon the journals he wrote as a young man. Visit the B&N event page for details.
