2010 Tribeca Film Festival: in NYC, on TV, and Online

The ninth annual Tribeca Film Festival will take place in New York City from Wednesday, April 21 through Sunday, May 1; check out the Festival’s site for the list of movies. There are now three ways for movie buffs to enjoy the festival: In Manhattan, as always; on TV with the new video-on-demand option; and online with the new initiative, TTF Virtual.

Increase Kiehl’s Donations to Haiti with Social Networking

Beauty company Kiehl’s is donating $5,000 to Population Services International, which is assisting Haiti relief efforts. Additionally, each time its Help Haiti page is shared on Facebook and each time this tweet is retweeted on Twitter, Kiehl’s will make an extra $1 donation (up to $5,000).

Look to the Stars delivers news, interviews, and videos on what celebrities are doing to help charitable organizations. The site’s database contains directories by charity name and by celebrity name; a general cause directory (e.g., “abuse,” “environment,” or “poverty”) will turn up a list of relevant charities and celebrities who support it.
